Discussion
KEY MESSAGE 1:
High pressure will slowly build over the region today shifting to the east by Sunday. This will lead to mostly clear and dry weather with much less wind compared to Friday. Near normal high temperatures today will trend a few degrees above normal on Sunday as flow turns south to southwesterly. Temperatures will be falling into the 40s for most areas during trick-or- treating time this evening with values lowering into the 30s across the Adirondacks. This high should remain just off the coast to bring mainly dry weather early next week as well. However, a few showers along a northward lifting warm front may brush portions of the Adirondacks on Tuesday. High temperatures Monday through Wednesday will be mainly in the 60s which is 10 to 15 degrees above normal. The next best chance for some rain continues to be later next week, though there continues to be significant model differences into how the overall synoptic pattern evolves. Solution continue to vary from just a few showers to a potentially widespread soaking rain. Trends will continue to be monitored over the next several days.
