Scattered showers, mainly along and east of I-45, should dissipate early this evening. We'll be looking for some patchy fog development in that same general area later tonight into early Thursday morning. Some slightly lower PW air should briefly move into the region from the east Thursday & Thursday night shunting the majority of rain chances west of the region.
Friday, we'll see the soupy 1.5-2.0" PWs track back into the region. Disturbances embedded in the swly flow aloft will be tracking newd across Texas, and combined with the higher moisture levels, bring chances of rain back into the forecast. Best chances and overall coverage currently look to occur during the daytime hours Saturday. Heading into Halloween evening, fairly warm/muggy conditions will prevail for this time of year, but rain chances should be tapering down: and continue to do so as the night progresses.
Mid-upper ridging will build overhead Sunday in advance of a deepening/digging lee side trof. This trof will sag southward into OK/TX early-mid next week. Timing, positioning, and details in regards to when its associated surface front will push through are somewhat fuzzy. But with time, we'd anticipate a improving model consensus allowing us to narrow down the time period for tstms and fropa. Right now there's a range between late Mon night and late Tue night. 47

A long easterly fetch situated across the northern Gulf will maintain 3 to 4 foot seas for much of the week. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible at times as weak disturbances pass through. Chances and overall coverage appears to be highest on Saturday. The next front is penciled in for early next week. 47
